2026 World Cup African Qualification Draw Ceremony: A Glimpse into the Live Event
In just minutes, 54 teams across the African continent will know their way to compete for tickets to the 2026 World Cup Finals in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The eyes of fans of the round witch on the brown continent are riveted to the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, Abidjan, where the draw for the African qualification for the final of the most important tournament at the level of national teams will take place.

54 teams are participating in the African qualification for the 2026 World Cup, including 10 Arab teams, namely Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Libya, Comoros, Sudan, Djibouti and Somalia.
The 54 teams in the draw will be divided into six tiers based on the latest FIFA classification published last June, where they will be divided into nine groups of six teams, so that the champion of each group will advance directly to the extended final, which will include 48 teams instead of 32 .
As for the top four teams finishing second in their group, the qualified teams after the Continental Playoffs will face the top five teams in the International Playoffs to earn an additional spot in the World Championship.

Pot 1: Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Ivory Coast.
Pot 2: Burkina Faso, Ghana, South Africa, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Zambia, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea.
Pot 3: Uganda, Benin, Mauritania, Kenya, Congo, Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Angola.
Pot 4: Mozambique, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Togo, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Central African Republic, Malawi, Libya.
Pot 5: Niger, Comoros, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eswatini, Botswana, Liberia.
Pot 6: Lesotho, South Sudan, Mauritius, Chad, Sao Tome and Principe, Djibouti, Seychelles, Eritrea, Somalia.
