80% of Russians Trust Putin: Results of VTsIOM Poll

Moscow, March 17 – The majority of Russians (79.7%) trust the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, 76% approve of his activities, a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) showed.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is trusted by 79.7% of respondents, and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has 62.7%. At the same time, 76% of respondents approved of Putin’s activities, and 54% of Mishustin’s. Government activity approved by 51.7%.
The respondents also talked about the parties they would vote for if the State Duma elections were held next Sunday. United Russia (39.5%), the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (10.6%) and the Liberal Democratic Party (8.4%) received the most votes. 9.2% are ready to vote for non-parliamentary parties, and 10% admitted that they will not participate in the elections.

The all-Russian telephone survey “VTsIOM-Sputnik” was conducted in the period from December 2022 to February 2023. The survey included 1.6 thousand Russians aged 18 years and over. The survey method is a telephone interview. The marginal error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 1%.
