Donetsk, January 8 – A civilian was injured as a result of shelling of Aleksandrovka in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian forces, the headquarters of the DRC’s territorial defense.
“Ukrainian armed formations VFU hit a civilian in Oleksandrivka, Petrovsky district of Donetsk,” the headquarters said in a Telegram channel.
The representative office of the DRC at the Joint Coordination Center earlier Sunday reported shelling by Ukrainian forces in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, who fired six 155mm “NATO” shells.
The Petrovsky District of Donetsk is located on the western outskirts of the capital of the DRC, and is the farthest part of the city from the centre. Since 2014, when the DRC declared its independence from Kyiv, this area, starting from the contact line outside the city of Marinka, has been regularly bombed by Ukrainian forces.
Aleksandrovka village is located on the outskirts of Donetsk.
