A court in Ukraine sentences a soldier from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to 15 years in prison

Moscow, December 24 – A court in Ukraine has sentenced a captured DPR soldier, a resident of Gorlovka in the Donbass, to 15 years in prison, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reports.
“In the Zaporozhye region, a member of the so-called“ People’s Militia of the Democratic Republic of the Congo ”was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Prosecutors have established in court that in March 2022, a resident of Gorlovka voluntarily defected to the side of the enemy, ”said a letter from the prosecutor’s office.
According to the department, the man was a machine gun pilot, who was captured in September. He was charged under the article “Treason”.
