A former employee of the Primorye Prosecutor’s Office was sentenced to four years in prison

VLADIVOSTOK, February 8 – A former employee of the Primorye Prosecutor’s Office was sentenced to 4 years in a strict regime colony for mediating the transfer of a bribe to two convicts for their release on parole, according to the regional supervision agency.
In July 2021, the second broker was arrested by the Russian Federal Security Service in Primorsky Territory while receiving 1.5 million rubles. The money was meant to be paid to the bribe-taker.

“The court … sentenced him to 4 years in prison and a fine of 3 million rubles,” the prosecutor’s office said. The place of execution of punishment is a strict regime colony. The court also prevented the convict from holding positions in public bodies for a period of 4 years.
