Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret gets an impressively high score on Rotten Tomatoes for her first appearance. The novel, written by Judy Blume in 1970, is a coming-of-age story about a young girl whose mother is a Christian and whose father is Jewish. The story focuses on how the girl deals with themes of faith, puberty, friendship, and family. The film is an adaptation of the novel. Abby Ryder Fortson plays the role of Margaret in the movie, which debuted in theaters over the past weekend. Rachel McAdams and Benny Safdie play the roles of Margaret’s parents, and Kathy Bates plays Margaret’s grandmother.

A New Comedy Film Achieves the Unprecedented Score of 99% on R otten Tomatoes

This past weekend, Rotten Tomatoes completed its official tallying of the score for the film Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret is the name of the movie. The rating for the movie is 99%, which is only one point short of a perfect score. Even though the score has the potential to change if more reviews are published, the current count of 114 reviews is statistically significant enough to warrant the use of the phrase “Certified Fresh” to describe the offering.

Those audience members on the fence about seeing the new film will benefit greatly from such glowing praise for it. In addition to its astounding score from critics, which is Rotten Tomatoes’ best major non-100 score since the film Happening in 2021, audiences are also giving it a strong score of 96 percent, making it one of the highest-scoring movies of all time. On the other hand, it has yet to be determined whether or not this will improve the film’s commercial chances.

God, Is There Anyone There? It’s Me. It is already a foregone conclusion that Margaret will not be at the top of the chart this weekend. The Super Mario Bros. Movie has long since established its dominance at the movie office and is well on its way to surpassing the billion-dollar mark in revenue it has brought in. On the other hand, it is anticipated that Margaret would outperform its rival in wide release, Big George Foreman.

It is not out of the question that this score could be of assistance. Is It You, God? There’s a chance that “It’s Me, Margaret” will be a surprise smash hit. Considering that the blockbuster tentpoles Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X will both be released throughout the next several weekends, it seems quite improbable that they will ever rise to No. 1. Nevertheless, there is a chance that the movie will remain in the top five and attract viewers who do not fall into the target demographic for those sequels or prequels.
