Accusations of gang rape against Argentine World Cup champion surface

Moscow, March 31 – The Spanish footballer “Seville”, the world champion in the Argentine national team, Gonzalo Montiel, was accused in his homeland of gang rape, according to Marca.
On Thursday, March 30, an allegation of gang sexual violence was registered in the Argentine justice system, one of the participants in the crime, according to the complaint, is Montel.
According to the case file, the incident took place on January 1, 2019, during Montiel’s birthday party. The victim of violence was a model who, according to her lawyer, had a short relationship with a football player.

According to the victim, she does not drink alcohol, but had two drinks at a party, after which she “passed out”. After committing acts of violence, the girl was “thrown out of the Montiel house.” The lawyer added that she does not know how many people were involved in the violence, nor does she remember how she got to the house.
Montiel at the World Cup executed a decisive kick from 11 meters in the penalty shootout in the final match against the French national team (3: 3, 4: 2 – penalty shootout).
