Adopted children will be given benefits when entering schools with relatives

Moscow, February 13 – Children adopted by foster care and children under guardianship or guardianship in Russia will receive the right to preferential admission to schools where their brother or sister studies, and the corresponding order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

A child, including an adopted (adoptive) child or a child under guardianship or guardianship in a family, including a foster family or, in cases provided for by the laws of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a foster family, has the right of preferential admission to study in general education programs primary in a state or municipal educational institution in which his brother and (or) sister (full-blood and half-blood, adopted (adopted), children) study, ”the document says.

On November 16, the Council of the Russian Federation at a meeting approved a law on the priority enrollment of foster children in the same school with their brothers and sisters, and the corresponding amendments to the Family Code have already been made.
