Advocating for Russia’s Exclusion from FIFA and UEFA in Ukraine

MOSCOW, June 25 – The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has sent a letter to FIFA and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) regarding the merger of clubs from Crimea demanding the removal of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
In June, Yalta “Rubin” and “Sevastopol” received certificates from the Football National League (FNL) for participation in the second league championship.

Since 2014, Crimean clubs have played in a separate league – the Crimean Championship. By decision of UEFA, Crimean clubs after the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation play in the regional championship, the organization maintains a ban on the participation of Crimean clubs in the championships of the Russian Football Union.
