Kazan, February 7 – A criminal case was initiated in Tatarstan after an accident with an ambulance in Naberezhnye Chelny, in which four people were injured, reports the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan.
According to the GUMCHS of Russia for Tatarstan, on the evening of February 6, a message was received about a collision between a car and an ambulance on Vakhitov Street in Naberezhnye Chelny. As specified in the Republic, four people were injured in the accident, including two ambulance workers – in serious condition.
“As a result of a collision between an Audi car and an ambulance, four people were injured. Based on this fact … a criminal case was initiated under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules),” the report says.
According to investigators, at the intersection of Syuyumbic and Vakhitov Streets, the ambulance driver, who was moving at a traffic light, collided with a car, after which he crashed into a curbstone and a metal fence and overturned.
As a result of an accident with various injuries, two paramedics and the drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital.
Investigations are underway to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
