On Thursday, the Egyptian Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee announced its official resignation and loss of management of its files related to the 2022-2023 football season, approximately six months before it ends.

The sudden resignation of the Disciplinary Committee came in response to statements made by Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour and his total refusal to submit to any investigation by the committee amid complaints from the Al Ahly club and its player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahrab. .

In an official statement, the Disciplinary Committee requested the management of the Egyptian Football Association to maintain the full and legal moral rights of the members of the committee who have resigned from their positions and to refer to his work during the last period on a voluntary basis. .

Mortada Mansour directed a torrent of criticism at the Disciplinary Committee and its chairman after he was called to investigate a complaint filed against him by the Al-Ahly and Kahraba clubs because of his statements.
