Exchange rates for gasoline in Russia in the spring and early summer updated their historical records. In connection with the rise in prices, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Federal Antimonopoly Service made recommendations, and then required oil companies to increase sales of gasoline on the stock exchange.
At the end of June, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the fuel market, where he called on the oil industry to prioritize the supply of gasoline to the domestic market, even when it would be more profitable to export. Novak also gave instructions to establish quotas for the export of petroleum products by oil companies, to discuss an additional increase in the minimum standard for sales of gasoline in the Russian Federation through the stock exchange in the event of worsening market conditions.
