Ajax Ends Cooperation with Sporting Director Sven Mislintat: No Connection to Financial Fraud Investigation

The Dutch football club Ajax has announced on its official website that it has ended its cooperation with sporting director Sven Mislintat.
Mislintat’s Tenure at Ajax
Mislintat joined the club in May 2023. It is important to note that the termination of cooperation has nothing to do with the investigation into suspected financial fraud.
The Failed Acquisition
Earlier, the media reported that Mislintat was not given permission to acquire midfielder Eduard Spirsyan from the Russian Krasnodar team and the Armenian national team. The Supervisory Board deemed dealing with the Russian football club unethical. However, Mislintat remains hopeful of signing the 23-year-old player.
Ajax’s Performance in the Dutch Championship
In the current season of the Dutch Championship, Ajax has won only one out of four matches and currently ranks fourteenth in the standings.
