Al-Qarni explained in a video clip that was circulated, “According to what I’ve heard, Mahrez sees the Saudi League as an opportunity to make huge money, in addition to the fact that a large number of world stars will move to the Kingdom.”
The sportscaster stressed that the Algerian star’s move to Al Ahly is very difficult given the player’s young age and his brilliant performance at Manchester City.
Even so, Al-Karni explained, Mahrez could indeed move to the Saudi Pro League if he cares about the money.
Al Ahly Jeddah’s administration is currently working on receiving a request for “interim measures” to register new summer deals after FIFA suspended the first team from contracts.
Mahrez, on the other hand, is poised to take over Manchester City and achieve a historic treble as City officially won the English Premier League title a few days ago and next Saturday they will play neighbors Manchester United in the FA Cup. final, then on the tenth day of next month he will meet with the Italian club Inter in the final of the European Champions League.
