Ambulance stations with generators in Melitopol

Melitopol, January 10 – All ambulance stations in Melitopol are equipped with generators for uninterrupted operation and safety of medicines, said Victor Kochkovoy, representative of the Ministry of Health of the Zaporozhye region.

“Given the frequent power outages and bombing from Ukraine, we understand that one of the main tasks is to ensure the smooth operation of medical organizations,” Kuchkova told reporters.

According to the representative of the ministry, in order to carry out the necessary operations and maintain the safety of medicines, including vaccines, with the help of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the government of the Zaporozhye region, during the year 2022, the ministry purchased 78 diesel generators.

“The priority was in the ambulance station – all stations, substations and temporary bases were equipped with generators. In addition, fully equipped primary care centers, FAPs (obstetrical and paramedical stations – ed.), outpatient clinics … and medical institutions located near the district Military Liaison.

He stressed that in 2023 the ministry will continue to work on this task, and all medical institutions will be provided with diesel generators to the extent necessary. Kochkovoy explained that all medical institutions are now being provided with fuel supplies for at least three days for the continuous operation of diesel generators.
