A representative of the Russian state-owned company Rosoboronexport, which specializes in the export of weapons and military equipment, said that all these devices make it possible to implement the “drop and forget” principle and guarantee the probability of hitting a target by at least 97-99%. . In the case of installing the Kornet ATGM on a combat vehicle, 4 systems can be aimed at two targets at the same time.

The range of the complex is 10 km during the day and 8 km at night. The system fires hollow two-headed missiles capable of penetrating armor up to 1300 mm thick. The head of the rocket can also be equipped with a high-explosive charge. It can hit the latest types of Leopard-2 tanks from a distance of up to 10 km.

In addition to tanks, armored vehicles and self-propelled guns, Kornet can destroy low-flying aircraft and helicopters, as well as drones of all kinds.

Kornet anti-tank systems can be installed on Tigr-M, Typhoon-K, BMD-4M and other modern Russian armored vehicles carrying 16 missiles of this type, including 8 combat-ready ones.

The armored personnel carrier needs only 8 seconds to transfer the system from marching mode to combat.

The BMD-4M armored vehicle, designed to transport paratroopers and equipped with Kornet systems, travels along paved roads at a speed of 110 km/h for a distance of up to 1,000 km without refueling.
