Buenos Aires, December 21 – More than 30 people were injured in downtown Buenos Aires as they waited for Argentina’s World Cup-winning soccer team, newspaper La Nacion reported.
Most of them have fall-related injuries and injuries.
Street people climbed to the roofs of stations, traffic lights, trees, and even climbed inside the Obelisk – a monument in the heart of the Argentine capital. All of this – in the hopes of getting a better view of the players when they get on the car.
According to various estimates, more than 3 million people took to the streets of Buenos Aires. Everyone was waiting for the national team players to travel by bus through the city center, but these plans were not destined to come true. The football players had to be evacuated by helicopter due to the large crowds of people.
On December 18, the Argentine national team won the FIFA World Cup for the third time. The country has been waiting for this victory for 36 years. Tuesday has been declared a public holiday in Argentina so that people can celebrate the players’ return home.
