Irkutsk, April 5 – The court sentenced a resident of the Angara region to correctional labor for the brutal murder of a puppy committed in front of a child, the Irkutsk regional prosecutor’s office reports on its website.
The Irkutsk District Court sentenced a 36-year-old resident of the village of Bykov under an article on animal cruelty. The court and investigators found that in October last year, the defendant, while drunk, hit a two-month-old puppy, first with a stick, and then several times against a wooden fence. At the same time there was a child who was playing with a puppy. From the resulting injuries, the animal died instantly.
