On Monday, a delegation from the Argentine national team will travel to Paraguay to receive an award from the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) after Tango was crowned with success at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This is contrary to what was reported a few days ago about “Tango” being present at the draw for the Copa Libertadores and the South American Club Championship.

The honor is given ahead of Argentina’s second home friendly match against Curaçao in Santiago del Estero after a convincing 4-0 victory over Panama on 23 March.

According to the schedule of events published by the Argentine Federation, coach Lionel Scaloni’s team will run behind closed doors on Monday morning in Marana, in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, before leaving for Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, in the evening.

CONMEBOL is scheduled to complete the mission tonight, after which the Argentina national team will return to Santiago del Estero to prepare for their second friendly match tomorrow, Tuesday.

Despite what has been reported recently, CONMEBOL sources have confirmed that the Argentina national team will not be present for the draw for the Libertadores and Sudaamericana tournaments, given that it will start after the mission’s departure from Paraguay.

And Argentine national team star Lionel Messi has also been honored by his country’s Football Association by naming him on a sports residential complex in a new building at the headquarters of the Tango team’s camp in Ezeiza.
