The conflict, as reported by SUSK in Primorsky Krai, broke out on May 6 near a café on Leningradskaya Street: four men beat to death a local resident who was relaxing with his family in a café that evening and called a taxi to go home. At the same time, it was noted that all the accused are “citizens of a foreign country.”
As a source in the specified law enforcement agencies told the News Agency, the four defendants were previously citizens, citizens of one foreign country. The source said, “Two of them (editor) obtained Russian citizenship, so they are no longer foreigners,” without specifying details about the other defendants.
The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, had earlier instructed the head of the Primorsky department, Vladimir Fomin, to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances.
