Tehran, January 22 – The State Duma delegation, led by Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin, arrived in Iran on Sunday for an official visit.
The Chamber’s delegation included, among others, State Duma Deputy Speaker Sergey Neverov (ER), Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security Vasily Piskarev (ER), Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport Yevgeny Moskvichev (ER). Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov (SRZP).
On Monday, within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the State Duma and the Iranian Parliament is scheduled, and the agenda of the meeting includes issues of interaction in the Caspian Sea, regional security, and combating terrorism.

In addition, Volodin is scheduled to hold talks with the head of the Council of the Islamic Council of Iran, Muhammad Bagher Qalibaf, within the framework of which it is planned to discuss the development of parliamentary relations between the two countries.
