The PGMOL committee, which is in charge of English football referees, has announced the opening of an investigation into allegations by assistant referee Konstantin Hatzidakis that he hit Liverpool star Andrew Robertson during his team’s match against Arsenal on Sunday.

And between two halves of the match, Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson approached the referee Konstantin Hatzidakis as the players were leaving the field, before the referee appeared to raise his hand to the player.

Robertson immediately became angry and claimed that the linesman elbowed him.

The Liverpool players crowded in front of referee Paul Tierney to raise the issue before heading into the tunnel at the end.

Sky Sports broadcast the incident as replays from multiple angles showed the referee raising his hand in front of the player.

ICYMI: That’s what came out during the whistle for the break. Andy Robertson apparently nudged the linesman but was then shown a yellow card.

It’s just that Scotland captain Andy Robertson got an elbow (and got a warning for it) from a linesman.

There is nothing to see here.
