Moscow, January 10 – Russian Daria Astakhova and Anastasia Gasanova failed to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open qualifying tournament (Australian Open).

Astakhova lost to Czech Sarah Bilyk with a score of 4: 6, 0: 6 in 1 hour 14 minutes. Jasanova lost to compatriot Polina Kudmitova (1:6, 6:4, 2:6) in 2 hours 8 minutes. Kudmitova will meet in the semi-finals with Britain’s Cathy Poulter (ranked 30).
