Azerbaijani Wrestler Triumphs in Youth Championship After a Loss to Armenian Opponent

Moscow, March 13 – Azerbaijani Rakim Hasanov hit Armenian Karapet Manvelyan in the face after a fight in the quarter-finals of the European Youth Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, which is being held in Bucharest.

The representative of Armenia won the victory in the fencing in the weight category up to 55 kg. After the fight, Manvelyan wanted to shake hands with his opponent, but Gasanov hit him in response. The Azerbaijani wrestler was disqualified.

Manvelyan’s next opponent will be the Turk Mehmet Emin Shakir.
