Baraga’s Contract with Valencia Extended

Moscow, June 15 – The Spanish football club “Valencia” announced on its official website the extension of the contract with the team’s coach Ruben Baraga.

The new agreement with the 47-year-old specialist runs until June 30, 2025. Baraga took over at Valencia in February, replacing Gennaro Gattuso, who left his post at the end of January.

Baraga is one of the most decorated players in Valencia’s history. During his professional career, he twice became the champion of Spain, the winner of the National Cup, the UEFA Cup and the Super Cup with the club. After retiring as a player, Baraga worked as a head coach in the Spanish “Elche”, “Rayo Vallecano”, “Sporting”, “Tenerife” and “Zaragoza”.

Under Baraga, Valencia finished 16th in the league table last season, two points behind Valladolid, who were relegated to the second division.
