Barcelona Coach Reveals First Casualties of the Summer Transfer Window
The Spanish newspaper Sport reported in a report that Barcelona coach Javi Hernandez agreed to the departure of the Ivorian Franck Kessy from the Blaugrana during the next summer Mercato.
According to the newspaper “Sport”, the administration of “Barcelona” put before Xavi a duo of Andreas Christensen and Frank Casey to resolve the issue of the departure of one of the players.
And she continued: “It would be great if Barcelona benefited from the sale of Christensen or Casey after joining them for free in the summer of 2022.”
She added: “The sports administration discussed Christensen and Casey with Xavi, but the coach made it clear that Christensen should stay and agree to Casey’s departure.”
The report indicated that Xavi didn’t want to lose Christensen as the Danish defender made a quantum leap in defending the Catalan side.
And the newspaper “Sport” noted: “The path to the departure of Frank Casey is open, because he has not achieved the same outstanding performance as Christensen.”
And the paper concluded: “It is clear that the Barcelona administration wants to take advantage of the great financial value that Casey enjoys in the market.”
