Barcelona solidified their lead in the Spanish Football League with hosts Real Betis by beating them 2-1 in a match that brought them together on Wednesday night, which was rescheduled from matchday 17 of the league.

The double of the Catalan team was signed by both strikers, the Brazilian Rafinha and the Pole Robert Lewandowski, in two minutes (65 and 80) respectively.

While the hosts’ goal came in friendly fire, the Frenchman Julius Conde, the Blaugrana defender, made an error into his own net five minutes before the end of regular time.

Barcelona took their fourth win in a row, extending their tally to 50 points and 8 points clear of league leaders from second-placed and main rivals Real Madrid, who played one match less.

While Real Betis is in sixth place in the standings with 31 points.
