Barcelona took advantage of Real Madrid’s stumble and took the lead
FC Barcelona managed to consolidate its dominance on the throne of the Spanish Football League from the gates of its guest, Sevilla, after defeating them (3:0) in a match that brought them together on Sunday evening, as part of the 21st round of La League.
Defender Jordi Alba, young midfielder Pablo Martín Páez and Brazilian winger Rafinha scored three goals respectively in minutes (58, 71, 79) of match time on Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona took their fifth win in a row to increase their tally to 53 points and clear the league leader, 8 points behind their second-placed and main rivals Real Madrid, the defending champions.
While Sevilla dropped to sixteenth place in the standings with 21 points.
