Basketball Coach from Serbia Passes Away During Game

Moscow, April 6 – The Serbian basketball coach, Dalibor Destanovic, died during a match for the youth team in Romania due to cardiac arrest, according to the Romanian Observatore portal.
Destanovich, who coached the Phoenix youth team, collapsed during the first quarter of the game on Tuesday. Spectators called an ambulance, but there was no doctor in the car that arrived. The paramedic tried to revive Destanovic, but the coach could not be saved.
It was reported that the Romanian police had opened an investigation into cases of intentional and negligent homicide.

Destanovich was 47 years old and had been coaching Phoenix since 2016.
