Manchester City player Bernardo Silva of Portugal said it was easy to deal with his Algerian teammate Riyad Mahrez as he is a fun person, calling him a clown.
Silva (28) and Mahreza (32) have been on close terms since the Algerian joined Manchester City in July 2018.
The duo drank coffee prepared by Bernardo together an hour before the start of the match to recharge their optimism.
Bernardo said in statements to Manchester City’s official website: “He (Mahrez) is like a clown in the dressing rooms. He always jokes about everything, but that’s far from what happens on the pitch.”
He added: “Mahrez doesn’t take anything seriously and I love that because it’s fun. There is no negative energy in communication with Riyad, and it is good when your friends have it.”
Bernardo added: “Marez won the English Premier League title with Leicester and it’s not easy. This is possibly the biggest achievement in the history of the Premier League.”
And he concluded: “When he arrived, we knew that he was a great and important player. He came to try to help us, and since his arrival he has already helped us a lot.”
