Biathlete Latypov won the sprint at the stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Belarus

Moscow, January 21 – Russian athlete Eduard Latypov won the competition in the fourth stage of the Commonwealth Cup, which is being held at the Belarusian Olympic Training Center Raubecci.
Latypov ran the distance in 33 minutes, 7.9 seconds, with two fouls on four shooting lines. Belarusian Dmitry Lazovsky finished second after 26.4 seconds (missed 2), while Russia’s Vasily Tomshin finished third (+43.7;1).
Rounding out the top six were Russians Anton Babikov (4th, +1.14.6; 2), Karim Khalili (5th, +1.35.2; 3) and Alexei Povarnitsyn (6th, +1.44.4; 4).

The stage of the Commonwealth Cup with the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus ends in Raubecci on January 22.
The International Biathlon Union (IBU) congress decided in September to support the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice amid the situation in Ukraine.
