Cryptocurrency Chip Maker Bitmain Launches Campus Recruitment Program
Bitmain, a leading cryptocurrency chip maker, has announced a campus recruitment program to attract new talent. The company is specifically interested in hiring PhD candidates in fields such as thermal power, machinery, electrical engineering, materials science, and related areas.
The recruitment campaign aims to hire 24 graduates with at least a master’s degree, both from China and abroad. As part of the incentive, Bitmain offers three years of free dormitory accommodation or reduced rent. This program is not limited to China and also covers Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.
Bitmain’s Expansion Plans
In addition to the recruitment program, Bitmain made an announcement on June 21 that it, along with cryptocurrency platform Anchorage Digital, plans to acquire shares in Core Scientific, the second largest publicly listed bitcoin miner. However, the status of this plan is still pending, and there have been no recent updates.

Bitmain recently co-hosted the World Digital Mining Summit 2023 (WDMS 2023) in Hong Kong from September 22-23, 2023. The theme of the summit was “Mining for the Next Emerging Market”.
