Bloomberg reported that Tesla employees will go on strike for the first time in the company’s history, demanding higher wages and reduced workload.

The agency quoted strike organizing committee spokesman Al Celli as saying the strike was intended to put pressure on the administration to raise wages and reduce the heavy workload that affects workers’ health.

The spokesman explained that workers are tired of being treated like robots, and management keeps track of the smallest and most insignificant details, down to the number of keystrokes on computers to determine the amount of time employees spend on performing their tasks.

The agency added that workers at a plant in Buffalo, New York, formed a union to organize a strike to protest low wages, noting Tesla’s success in preventing a similar union from forming at its U.S. plants earlier.

And Tesla, which is run by American businessman Elon Musk, announced earlier that the company’s profit recorded an all-time high in the last quarter of 2022, as the company’s profit doubled last year to $12.6 billion and revenue increased by 51%, equivalent to $81. .5 billion dollars.
