Moscow, January 26 – Three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov spoke about his relationship with skier Sergei Ustyugov.
In December, during the fifth stage of the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing, Bolshunov and Ustyugov collided in the semifinals of the race in classic style. As a result, both athletes fell and failed to reach the final.

After completing the semi-final sprint, Ustyugov refused to shake Bolshunov’s hand, stating that he had acted “inhumanely”. Earlier, at the fourth stage of the Russian Cup, Bolshunov cut Ustyugov while overtaking him in the sprint final, but later apologized, stating that he had not calculated the distance.
