Boston Marathon winner has been suspended for six years for doping

Moscow, December 20 – Kenya’s 2021 Boston Marathon winner Diana Kibiuki has been suspended for six years, according to the Independent Athletics Unit (AIU) website.
The period of ineligibility is counted from the moment of its suspension – June 27, 2022. At the same time, its results will be nullified from October 11, 2021, including the victory in the Boston Marathon. In the doping sample from Kipiokey, traces of triamcinolone were found.
Kenya’s Puriti Rionoripo has also been suspended for five years for testing furosemide. The period of ineligibility is calculated from November 21, 2022.

The day before, AIU suspended Kenyans Mayo Johnston Kibet and Alice Jepkemboy Kimutai for three years, and suspended Mark Otieno Odiambo for two years.
