Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III to Feature the Biggest Zombie Mode Ever
The “Biggest Zombie Mode Ever”
In a recent post on the official Call of Duty website, Activision announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) will feature the most expansive zombie mode to date. The developers at Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games have revealed some additional details about this exciting new mode. Modern Warfare III’s Zombies mode will take place in an open world environment with both Player versus Environment (PvE) and survival mechanics. Players will team up with other squads to fight against hordes of zombies, making it the ultimate zombie map.
The zombie mode’s storyline will be connected to the Dark Aether narrative set in the Modern Warfare universe. Players can expect missions, secrets, and familiar mechanics in this game mode. Moreover, Modern Warfare III will introduce new mechanics for the first time ever, along with the largest and most formidable enemies in the series. While further specifics are yet to be revealed, Treyarch is leading the project with support from Sledgehammer Games. Both studios have a proven track record in developing Call of Duty titles, with Treyarch known for Black Ops and Sledgehammer for Advanced Warfare, WWII, and Vanguard.
A Direct Sequel to Modern Warfare II
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is scheduled for release on November 10 and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Activision officially announced the game on August 16, highlighting its status as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II released in 2022. The main campaign follows Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they face a greater threat than ever before. Their mission is to confront the ultranationalist war criminal Vladimir Makarov, who seeks to expand his influence across the world. In addition to the single-player and zombie modes, a multiplayer experience will be a vital part of the game.
