Chevron Highlights Global Gas Market Transformation After Special Operation
Houston (USA), March 6 – Mike Wirth, president of the US oil and gas company Chevron, said on Monday that the global gas market has undergone significant structural changes with the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
According to him, the United States, once a major exporter of natural gas, is now likely to increase its supplies to other countries even more. “This, in turn, entails changes in pricing mechanisms,” said the Chevron chief.
Assessing the transformation of the world oil market under the influence of the situation around Ukraine, Wirth expressed the opinion that it is still trying to adapt to current geopolitical events.
“Russian oil, as you know, still comes to different markets,” said the head of the US oil and gas giant.
