China seeks cooperation with Germany to promote global stability

Beijing, July 13 – A statement posted on the website of the Chinese Embassy in Germany on Thursday said that China and Germany share many common interests, and Beijing hopes to work with Berlin to achieve more stability in a turbulent world.

Germany released its strategy for China on Thursday. The document states that the FRG is calling for a “change of approach” towards China and setting new standards for cooperation. The strategy aims to show the ways and means by which the Federal Government can cooperate with China without prejudice to the way of life, sovereignty, prosperity and security of Germany and its partnerships with other countries.

Beijing hopes that “the two sides can meet each other’s needs, adhere to the principles of mutual benefit and win-win results, jointly respond to global challenges, and bring more stability and positive energy to a turbulent world.”
