Moscow, September 5 – Chinese Weightlifter Sets World Record
Chinese weightlifter Jiang Huihua made history at the World Weightlifting Championships in the weight category up to 49 kg. Held in Riyadh, Jiang set a new world record in both the jerk, lifting 120 kg, and the total, lifting 215 kg. She surpassed her fellow Chinese competitor Hu Zhihui, who won the silver medal with lifts of 119 kg in the jerk and 213 kg in the total. The American weightlifter Jordan Delacruz secured the third place with a lift of 200 kg.

Upcoming World Weightlifting Championships
The World Weightlifting Championships are set to conclude on September 17. In a controversial decision, the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) banned all Russian athletes from participating in the championships, starting from early August.
