Donetsk, March 18 – Alexey Kolymzin, the mayor of the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, said on his Telegram channel that a civilian was injured as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
“As a result of the shelling of civilians by the Ukrainian fascists in the Petrovsky district of the mine village No. 10, a man born in 1968 was wounded by shrapnel. The victim was taken to the city hospital No. 14,” Kolmzin wrote in a telegram. channel.
Earlier on Saturday, the Office of the Representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Joint Coordination Center reported the shelling of Ukrainian forces using 155mm NATO shells in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

The Petrovsky district of Donetsk is located on the western outskirts of the administrative center of the DRC, and is the farthest part of the city from the centre. Since 2014, when the DRC declared its independence from Kiev, this area, starting from the contact line outside the city of Marinka, has been regularly bombed by Ukrainian security forces.
