Moscow, February 28 – The Columbus Blue Jackets removed Russian forward Igor Chinakov from the injured list and sent him to the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL), according to the official website of the National Hockey League (NHL) team.
Together with Chinakov, forward Carson Meyer was sent to the Cleveland Monsters, who was also taken off the injured list.
Chinakov was injured in a regular season game against Dallas on December 19. The next day, the player was placed on the injured list. A medical examination revealed a sprained ankle in the attacker.

Columbus selected Chinakhov 21st overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The forward made his NHL debut last season. In the current NHL regular season, Chinakov played 30 matches and scored 13 points (4 goals + 9 assists).
