Comedic Comrades in Arms Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have Decided To Go on a Tour Together
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are traveling together to spread some humor.
The beloved comedians and former SNL cast members will start their inaugural Restless Leg Tour tour this spring. To commemorate their 30 years of friendship through jokes and tales, Poehler and Fey will be the headliners of a brief run of East Coast performances.
The two joked, “If this tour goes well, we can finally finish this friendship!”
The Live Nation-produced tour will stop in four cities: Chicago Theatre, MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, and Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City. It will kick up on April 28 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., before moving on to those locations.
The general sale starts February 17 at 10 a.m. local time, with the presale starting on February 15 at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster using the code “restless.”
Before becoming regulars on Saturday Night Live, Poehler and Fey first met in the Chicago improv scene in the early 1990s. They served as “Weekend Update’s” first female co-anchors. The comedy pals reunited in the comedies Mean Girls, Baby Mama, Sisters, and Wine Country. Since then, they have gone on to star in their sitcoms (Poehler on Parks and Recreation and Fey on 30 Rock) and on the big screen. The Golden Globes were cohosted four times by them as well.
Poehler most recently acted in the TV programs Baking It and Chicago Party Aunt before directing the drama picture Moxie in 2021. Her upcoming film debut is Inside Out 2. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Mr. Mayor, both of which she co-created, are among Fey’s most recent successes.
