Washington, December 29 – US Congressman-elect George Santos spread false reports about his mother’s death in the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York.

Later, on December 23, 2021, Santos wrote another post announcing the fifth anniversary of his mother’s death.
Fox News previously reported that New York prosecutors are investigating Santos, who admitted to lying about his background, education and work history.
After revelations in The New York Times, a Republican elected member of Congress admitted to providing voters with false information about himself, including claiming he had a college education and stating that his mother was Jewish and that her parents fled Europe during World War II. Reports that Santos worked for investment banks Goldman Sachs and Citigroup were also false.
