Dani Alves Launches Hunger Strike in Prison After His Wife’s Surprising Move

Today, on Saturday, the press reported that the former Brazilian defender of Barcelona Dani Alves went on a hunger strike in prison due to the decision of his wife, Spanish model Joana Sanz, to leave him.

Dani Alves was arrested on January 20 on charges of raping a girl in a nightclub.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Alves went on a hunger strike in the prison where he is being held because of his wife’s request for a divorce.

A British newspaper indicated that Alves was completely broken and very nervous after his wife informed him of this, and he did not eat at all for several days.

And The Sun said that Elvis first denied knowing the girl who allegedly attacked her, then changed his testimony before the judge at the hearing, claiming everything that happened between them was consensual.

Spaniard Joana Sanz visited her husband Danny Alves last February amid the news of her divorce request, and then visited him recently and published a letter announcing her divorce from him.

And Sanz, 29, wrote after months of speculation and a long silence, a handwritten letter announcing her split from Alves, stating:

These months were terrible, not the hardest days of my life, because before that I had experienced many storms, but they were very dark and painful.

The feeling of abandonment and loneliness is again knocking at my door. Thousands of unanswered whys. I choose a life partner who is perfect in my eyes.

He was always there when I needed him most, always supported me in everything, always pushed me to the best, always kind and considerate.

I think it will take me years to erase from my memory the way he looked at me, and the way he looked at me, as if I were the most wonderful being in the world.

I love him and will always love him. But I love myself, respect myself and value myself much more than that.

Forgiveness is convenient for me. Today I am ending a phase of my life that began in 2018. I thank life for the opportunities that life gives me, no matter how difficult they may be. I am a strong woman moving on to the next phase of my life.
