State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin earlier proposed entrusting State Duma deputy speaker Anna Kuznetsova to prepare proposals for a parliamentary investigation into the crimes of the Kiev regime against the children of Donbass. On June 20, the State Duma approved a resolution supporting the initiation of such an investigation. On June 21, the Federation Council formed the Senate part of the Parliamentary Committee, and Vice-Chairman Galina Karelova became co-chairman of the Chamber. The first meeting of the committee was held on June 30.
The committee included four working groups with specialized tasks. The first will collect, analyze and evaluate materials and facts about the crimes of the Kiev regime against minors. The second group will deal with issues of international legal assessment of the facts of violations of the rights and freedoms of minors by the Kiev regime, and the third – with the improvement of protection mechanisms for minors from infringement of their rights and freedoms by foreign countries. The fourth working group is to improve social support measures and rehabilitate minors affected by the measures of the Kiev regime.
