Donetsk, March 8 – The chairman of the party’s regional executive committee, Yevgeny Maslov, said that in the DRC, the nomination of candidates for the United Russia primaries for elections to the People’s Assembly of the republic has begun.
Elections for the provincial legislature will be held in September on a single voting day. For the first time, the People’s Assembly of the DRC will not be elected as the parliament of a self-proclaimed state, but as the legislative assembly of a region of the Russian Federation. It will include 90 deputies, not 100 as before.
“For the first time in the DRC, we are launching an open preliminary voting procedure … the most open procedure that exists in the Russian Federation today.
