Moscow, April 7 – Vasily Piskarev, chairman of the State Duma’s Security Committee, said the maximum prison sentence for actions that posed a death threat and aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Russian Federation has been proposed from 15 to 20 years.
Together with colleagues from the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, the deputies developed and amended the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Piskarev wrote on his Telegram channel.

“It was proposed to increase the maximum sentence for acts of intimidation that created a threat to kill people and aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country to 20 years (now 15 years),” said Piskarev.
