Moscow, February 2 – Russian mixed martial arts fighter Fedor Emelianenko noted that he wants to leave a memory of himself in the sport as a fighter who won fame and love of the fans with his work in the ring, and not with gossip and swearing.
In Los Angeles on February 4, a duel will take place for the Bellator heavyweight championship belt between the current champion of the organization, American Ryan Bader and Emelianenko. The day before, the 46-year-old Russian fighter announced that this fight would be the last in his professional career.
“I would like to be remembered as a believer and an athlete who won the love of the fans only in the ring. Not with gossip, not with insults or vulgar behavior outside the ring, but just with work in the ring. This is the last time he fights, I would like to fight the champion and finish, ”added the Russian.
