EU Companies Unaware of Penalties for Sanctions: CCBLR

Moscow, March 14 – Oleg Prozorov, General Director of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia (CCBLR) told the News Agency that European companies are often in the dark, believing that everything related to Russia is subject to sanctions, but this is not the case.
“We found that European companies are often in the dark, but even in a kind of deception, in the illusion that everything connected with Russia is certainly subject to sanctions today, although this is not the case,” he said.
It is for this reason, according to him, that the Chamber has changed the format of its activities today.

At the same time, he said, “we are not urging our members to find loopholes and try to circumvent the restrictions imposed in some way.”
“We try to involve them in those industries where business is still legitimate,” concluded the general manager of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia.
