Extending Contract: Salavat Yulaev Signs Khmelevsky Through 2024

Moscow, March 13 – The Ufa club “Salavat Yulayev” extended the contract with striker Alexander Khmelevsky, according to the official website of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) club.
The new agreement with the 23-year-old American hockey player runs until 2024.

Khmelevsky transferred to Salavat Yulaev in 2022. The striker’s previous club was the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). The striker became the best sniper of the Ufa team in the last regular season of the KHL, scoring 48 points (26 goals + 22 assists) in 67 matches. In the playoffs of the championship, Khmelevsky also became the team’s top scorer and sniper. He has 5 points (4+1) in six games.
